about

This compilation album is primarily made of tracks pulled from the following other albums already available on my Bandcamp page:

- "Fanboys 'n da Hood" ("Psycho Potpourri!")
- "Shadows of the Bunghole" ("Psycho Potpourri!")
- "What A Ripoff! Volume 1"
- "What A Ripoff! Volume 2"
- "What A Ripoff! Volume 3"
- "Worst Tribute Ever (a tribute to the great Luke Ski)"
- "Greatest Hits: Volume 1"

With the release of my 12th album "Needlessly Meta", I finally started putting my earlier discography on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and SoundCloud, putting them up in reverse chronological order. At the end, reaching the "Psycho Potpourri!" collection (made of tracks from my first 2 albums), I had to decide if I wanted to put that full album of tracks of me at the greenest point of my career on all those international music streaming services or not. I also had to decide if it was worth the money to put my b-sides collections, the tribute album, the greatest hits, etc., all up as individual albums, trying to decide if it was worth the money and effort.

Since SongCast allows artists to submit albums with up to 40 tracks, I decided to put together this collection of all the "Psycho Potpourri!" tracks which I felt were Spotify-worthy, as well as a bunch of fan-favorite tracks from the b-side collections, a sampling of tracks from the tribute album (where my funny-music-making friends covered a bunch of my tracks), and a couple other rarities for reasons I'll keep to myself for now. That way, all of the tracks I wanted on those music streaming services would be out there, and I would only need to pay for ONE album to be posted over SongCast instead of several albums.

So why did I bother posting it here as an album on Bandcamp? Mainly O.C.D. complete-ism. So when I tell people that all of my albums are available on all of those music services AND on Bandcamp, it won't nag at me in my brain that this specific album collection isn't also available here.

So in conclusion, if you're a long-time fan of mine and you already own all those albums listed above, you are absolutely not obligated in any way to buy this collection of tracks you already have. Feel free to take the knowledge that all these tracks are on Spotify (etc.) so you can make your own "Best Of Luke Ski" playlists for you to rock out to and share with your friends. Thanks for sticking with me the past 27 years.
